Stock Exhaust Mod (PICS)

I wanted to share some pics of the exhaust mod I had done on my car.

I had a few Ferrari drivers at the last track day tell me how great the car sounded, which I think confirms how great this motor sounds with a proper exhaust.

No regrets whatsoever!

Sounds like a high reving V8 should sound, especially on downshifts. I love it.

The sounds has actually helped a great deal with rev matching allowing me to put up personal best times.

So all you do is take out the perforated section and weld in 2 straight pipes? That's it?

We capped the small perforated pipes as well, replaced the stuffings. That's it.

Why would you need to replace the stuffing if all the perforated pipe is replaced with solid pipe?

so is this any different than just eliminating the rear muffler and putting straight pipes after the second set of cats? Is your sound now just being tuned by two sets of cats and resonators?

There are zero power gains with this.

The packing would be unnecessary if all the perforated tubing was removed.

I didn't want any chance for rattles, so we dumped i back in before we resealed the chambers. Not sure if it reduces the volume, but I don't want the car any louder, it's at the sweet spot.

I didn't want any chance of drone so I keep the remaining chamber intact.

Unlikely, but no loss of torque. The motor feels a bit more free revving, similar to feel of the BMW performance exhaust. I did run personal best lap times this past weekend, the sound helps tremendously with rev matching a 6mt.
