Steep driveways and CF Splitters
I just got a set of OEM splitters (Thanks GOLFFRR for the great price), and I was wondering what is the best way to take on steep driveways or ramps. Usually I would take them going sideways, but I am not sure if that would be a smart idea with the splitters being on the side. Its only been 2 days and I already scraped one of them going sideways up a small ramp.
P.S, I am lowered on Eibach's too.

Ah, the price we pay for cool stuff. I've got them also, lowered on Dinan springs. Extra care needed to preserve them. I'd try backing up steep driveways, angle at the entry. I avoid steep hills as much as possible and am vigilent about parking curbs too.

Looks awesome. My only suggestion is going sideways. BTW, what brand are your LED angel eyes?

Thanks guys, I guess I just have to be more careful. Every mod on the M3 needs some sort of compromise, I'm glad this mod is worth it though.

you should be fine imo
usually low cars will scrape the most centered protrusion ie the center of your lip or splitter since oem splitters are just on the sides...you should rarely contact the pavement |

Just a question to the OP and anyone else who has the Splitters and also lowered their cars.
Apart from steep driveways, what are they like for daily driving. I am trying to decide whether to get splitters for my Coupe or not, or to lower, or both lower and have splitters. If splitters are a nightmare with the car lowered and I am going to break them anyway, then I might not bother. Thank you JKay |
