1200 mile service message at 550 miles?

so i recently picked up a new e90...i'm at about 550 miles and am already getting a service due gong/message at start up...is this for the 1200 miles service already?..or is something else going on with the car?

The car warns you a few hundred miles in advance to give you time to make your appointment for service. It's normal.

I just went through this on my ED vacation. It started warning me on startup about 800 to 1,000 km before service was due (2,000 km). If you have nav/i-drive you can go into the vehicle setting section to find the precise number of miles left until service.
