Tommy let me see what kind of response I get first....Also for those that are curious, I bought the M6 wheels brand new when I worked at the dealership and employee cost was $4400 with tires. So just keep in mind they arent reps

The lower LED's (Brake lights) started blinking in and out and I received another set through warranty but never bothered putting the other set on.

Making an Offer?

Guys,

Please use proper/fair judgement when making an offer on someones car. I just exchanged 15 emails with someone for 2 days who requested additional photos and then at the end told me his budget is $40K and he also wants the car with M6 wheels.

KBB Retail is over $49K and private party is over $46K with stock wheels. The wheels and other mods cost me over $5K and Im only asking for private party value for my car as it sits. I think its fair.

Please just be aware of what you are looking at.

Just say that the guy is a moron, no need to be nice with these mofos.

Either you have the money to buy a car or you don't.

Good luck with your sale.

I think as a seller, he carried himself well. I agree the prospective buyer should have at least been upfront about budget before going on a long winded exchange. But there is no need to insult anyone.

GLWS....Car looks good with those M6 wheels.

The internet is like the Wild West. There is little regulation and you find all types. I have found it is futile to try to say what is right and what is wrong on the internet. The potential buyer was a bottom fisher looking for a desperate seller. Sometimes such people get lucky. There are desperate sellers out there. Frankly, I would never start a potential purchase discussion by telling the seller that I was prepared to pay the full asking price. I am not sure there is any rule as to how much below asking price is insulting to offer. Here, it was 15% under asking price. I do agree that the asking price is very fair, having just done the research and purchased a 2008 E90 M3.

That was my response

I told him exactly that, that I was not desperate. My job role has changed so i will be driving more so I leased a MINI for better mpg and miles, but I'm in no hurry to sell, although I would like to.

IMO, the insult is a "buyer" going thru 15 emails and then asking for a $5000 discount plus some goodies included.

Come on. But hey, that's me.

Pardon the dirt, havent driven the car in about 10 days; its just hanging out in the garage. Some of the spotting was dirt on my lens. (sorry)
