Great deal on Lexar 1000X UDMA 7 Cards

My D800 is the only one that accepts CF cards so even if I would, I couldnt use them on any other camera. No update required, it was ok with udma7 even with the previous 1.0 version.

Anyway both my DX's bodies performance are maxed out with the Sandisk Extreme Pro.

There was a good deal on the 60 MB/sec 32GB Sandisk Extremes for like $60 earlier this year. Plenty fast for my 5D2 so I picked up a couple.... and ended up not even filling one of them up during a month floating around the Balkans in June.

Good. Over on another forum, someone put one in an incompatable camera and thought there was something wrong with the card.

I regret not buying a pair now. Yesterday after shooting the air show, I realized faster cards would've helped with the buffering. Plus, since I took over 2k photos in an afternoon, I filled up both my 60mb/s 16gb cards and almost both of my even slower 8gb cards.

That camera needs 32GB and fast too. I'd seriously consider paying full price if you're going to more airshows or sporting events. Too bad you missed the incredible sale.

The D800 is very picky about which CF cards will work in it. Most reported problems have been with media from Patriot and Kingston. Lexar and Sandisk are known to work.

Adorama is also out of stock. Both places probably deal with the same distributor anyway. Dave got his in the promised time frame tho. So I guess it shouldnt be too long.

I wasnt in a rush to get them anyway, they usually dont bill until they ship; except for international

As I said, i'm pretty sure both stores get their supplies from the same distributor; so if the first batch they receive is big enough to cover all the backorders, you should get your order at the same time as I did. Mine is placed for a long time so i'm pretty sure my order is in the next batch to be shipped.

B&H delivery is very fast and painless. You pay for shipping and taxes at the moment of the order. And 2-3 days later, your box is at the door. Doing that way tells the customs: "Hey, we did our homework and the package is clear to go". So they dont have to delay the delivery for verification or to calculate the duty/import fees. I received my TC yesterday morning and ordered it friday after business hours. Which is pretty good.

I love it, but my wallet doesnt! I heard that Adorama is a very good store also, but never had the chance to deal with them.

Well, apparently my Lexar cards shipped last Monday. But thanks to the speedy delivery of UPS and USPS, it'll be delivered next Monday... wow, 1 week to move from NY to OH.

B&H; shipped at the end of the day on tuesday and got them yesterday... NY, USA to QC, Canada For $11 with UPS too.

Did UPS picked it up the same day? Sometimes the label is printed out and the seller gives you the tracking, but the pickup is scheduled just days after. Its not really UPS's fault in those cases.
