Congrats! My ED date is 9/20 and I can't wait. This is my first M3 and first BMW too, and I will probably keep it for a very long time.

I don't know for sure but I would imagine late October or early November for the E90. What ever it is, you might want to reserve early before all the spots fill up.

Happy I have my e90 M3, this one will be a keeper. Seems the end of the Na M cars will coincide with the end of the world in 2012.

My dream config for the E92 M3 is Silverstone on silver extended leather, all options, 6mt, and carbon roof.

Or, if I go the individual route, E92 M3 in green (the non-metallic one) with ivory extended leather and green stitching, same options as the non-individual one, except black grilles, tips, and wheels.

I must admit though, I haven't always liked the M3. However, that was when I was younger and didn't know and understand what these machines represent. I would even like to buy an E46 M3 coupe, but it would have to be 6mt, not the smg and have low miles.
Hang in there, dude. I was like you but it was more like DDS2003, then MS2005. I was just able to afford an E90 M3 after 6 years practicing orthodontics. I bought an E36 M3 for 6 years starting when the E46 M3 came out.

Not even a tiny chance of that. S65 dies next year along with the N52.

Does anybody have any news on the coupe going to "at least 2012"?

I am seriously thinking about ordering the last year V8 NA coupe for ED, and either trading my sedan or selling it outright. So, if that happens and some of you guys want a clean sedan look me up.

But, June 2012 is a little too soon.

Any news? Has it been confirmed when the new car will start production?

E92 m3

I really love the m3s love the NA power on them I just don't think they've given the E92 no where near enough power , I mean 414 bhp out of the 4L V8 is impressive but I'd like to see a bigger v8 with more power, if they twin turbo the new m3 and power out put under 530 hp I'd be disappointed

But you know this is the kind of hp numbers bullshit game that bmw likes to play. Im confident that if there ever was a chance for a TTV8 in the next M3, it would have 530hp output... but then again, its pretty sure we arent getting that. I cant stand whats going on in the world today.

If you like the E90 M3 V8 then get it now before they are gone. The good thing is that this is the last year build not the first so most of the bugs have been worked out since 2008. If you wait for the next model and are the first to jump on that bandwagon you may find issues/bugs since it is the first year production. This is just my opinion ONLY. What ever you decide good luck with your purchase and welcome to m3post.com.

Appreciate it. YEah, I am torn between the new Audi S4 and the E90 M3. Both great cars for various reasons. This being an M3 Forum, gather folks would recommend the M over the S4. For me, it is more the AWD or RWD. I currently have RWD, so I am fine there. Just that when it snows, I take the wife's SUV...or just take the day off. I am leaning towards the M3...as well, it's an M3. If I can just transplant the S4s interior into the M, we're good!

If you are using this in snow I would definatly be careful. A RWD in snow can be fun compared to an AWD.

Good luck on you choice, both are good cars!

Thanks! Just wish it was an easier decision. Yes, AWD is more fun in the snow, to a certain extent...like when you can barely move, or start to slide into the car next to you..yes, AWD is more fun. Thanks again!

Does anyone know why BMW decided to make the 2011 an 18 month production run? I don't recall BMW ever doing that. As far as I remember, with the 3 series at least, BMW would end one model year around August and start the next model year in September.

I think that the 2004 3-Series Coupe was also a 18-month run, from 03/03 to 08/04.
