Don't waste time go Stage 2 with inter cooler and 575 HP. And I would try and get a low mileage car since its still your daily driver, so you want it clean and comfortable. double figure mileage makes me wretch

Honestly Michael, don't mod the car to that extent.
Right now my M3 is my DD and I agree it lacks something "special", but for a DD it makes me really, really happy.

At some point in the near future I'll trade my M3 for a even more practical DD and look into a GT3. The 997.2 GT3 is just incredible.

I have to say if the M3 is boring, you are not driving it to it's full potential or you did not know what a RWD car like the M3 is for. I do believe that the GT3 and M3 are completely different monsters and style of driving or how one wants to drive would be more what you are referring to. I see the M3 as more like an AMG but with just that extra bit of thought put into it, where you could say it is track ready: still a RWD car that if pushed right will send shivers down your spine. The GT3 on the other hand is the best track car money can buy over and over again, but is a car that you should brake into corners and accelerate hard out of them to keep the nose down. I have test driven a GT3 and after years of wanting one have decided I am much to big for it at 6'5" but all the power to you if you are able to get one, for a track I am sure there is nothing better.
