You can in the iDrive.

Always on for me. Not only to make the car more visible for safety, but it's one of the best parts of the car. I can stare at my angel eyes all day long.

Oh and I prefer the OEM AE's btw. The tone is perfect, but I wish it was a little brighter from factory.

Well that's because you like to show off, mines off so I don't draw too much attention.

does anyone know if using the drl's wears out the battery faster?there was some discussion on an old thread that i can't find about whether or not. they used some small amount of extra gas by putting an extra load on the battery

If you don't like the attention, the giant hood bulge, side vents, quad exhaust and the V8 howling probably doesn't help then.

If you knew me you wouldn't say that. But in general your comment is invalid because BMW puts them on all their cars so to say you own a BMW is saying you like to show off? Bet it fits the stereotype but not true for
all obviously.

Mine are OFF after I realized that the rear lights are also turned on when daytime running lights are on. Also, I'm not particularly interested in letting people know what I driving.

Don't know about the battery but it will defintlely wear out bulbs faster> I got LUXs so I dont feel like spending X amount or waiting Y amount of time to get replacments and reinstall, especially, if I can maximize bulb life

You can barely see the AEs on when its bright and sunny out anyways..just never made sense to me to keep them on then..cloudy or overcast, I turn them on.

This only makes sense if you have insider knowledge that LUX is going out of business.....

If you've ever ordered bulbs from them and saw how long it took to receive them, you would know what I mean
