Remove Warning Label from Sun Visor
FAQ suggests using goof off but I wondered i anyone here has done something else. On my Z4M I used a black magic marker, which worked but was a shade too dark, so it was subtle but different. They irritate the f out of me.
Also, car is 3 years old (but new to me) and in the faq it seems to suggest issues with older cars. Thanks.

You can always buy the Euro ones which have no warnings on them.

Goof Off works good on the older anthracite cloth visors.

I bought the Euro ones used from a member here. They are made of the actual headliner fabric and have NO warning labels. A simple google search will yield results in the $150 range. Very simple install. Plug and play. Huge upgrade IMO.

My sun visors are the vinyl type and removing the warning labels was very easy.
1)Remove the visors from the car 2) Using a cotton ball, saturate the label with acetone (fingernail polish remover). Within a few minutes the label will begin the wrinkle. You can now pull the label from the visor. Rub any difficult areas of the label with the acetone soaked cotton ball. 3) After the acetone dries there will be a faint image of the label adhesive in the shape of the label. Apply Goof Off to the glue and scrub with a tooth brush using moderate pressure. 4) Wash with soap and water. When finished there was no indication that a label was ever present. I performed this procedure on a second car with the same results.

I would say no. I bought Euro cloth visors for my car. Unfortunately, one visor had a label and the other one didn't. You can't tell tell which visor I removed the label from.

Just leave them on there. Its not a big deal, unless you make it one. lol I left them on my Z4MC, E46 M3, and now my E92 M3....
I thought they came right off with pealing them. Its a sticker right?

"Just leave them on there. Its not a big deal" They bother me, look awful and I don't see why I should have to leave them on. Rather stare at a blob of black.
Definitely not a sticker though. Feels like an iron on decal. No raised texture at all.

If that's for a pair, that's almost worth the time saved in messing around with removing the labels!

I already have the Cloth Visors, was just worried about a possible imprint afterwards. Do you guys typically take them out of the car before hand to avoid getting the interior smelling like adhesive remover?

It works great, and removes all traces of the stickers. Each visor takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. I did this in the parking lot of the pharmacy where I bought the Acetone. I do recommend the plain Acetone, not the "flavored" kinds.

My car came with vinyl w/ stickers, I purchased cloth with no stickers from a member. I was just showing those as a non-sticker option. I would also consider those a downgrade if you have cloth visors, but I also would NOT wants stickers either.

exactly what I did, one thing to note, when applying the acetone, make sure you wipe in one direction, so you don't smear the adhesive 20 different ways, making it a PITA when using the goo gone/goo off to remove the residual adhesive. I also used a terry cloth, not a cotton ball. I learned the hard way when doing my first visor..almost 1/2 the time with my second visor. Also, I soaked a section of an MF towel with the goo off and let it sit on top of the area I needed to clean for a 10-15 minutes, I used a book to apply pressure for that time....

Acetone remove the sticker flawlessly if you have the fabric sun visor. The sticker is actually silk screened on there. Would not recommend trying this on the "leather" ones because it will destroy them.

Some also take a blow dryer to the stickers to soften up the adhesive prior to removal (works best with the cloth visors, but does help with the "leather" ones as well)... RE: buying the euro visors $230 or a $5 bottle of acetone and goo gone...pretty easy decision IMO...

I used 91% isopropyl alcohol and cotton balls and had both off in ten minutes. Pics to follow
