Will this work?

I am looking to put Eibach sport springs on my new e92 M3 when I finally gets off the boat from my ED trip. I was going to go with VMR V710's 19 inchers with Advan AD08's tires. I heard these tires are "square" or a little bulkier/wider then some. My question is what is the best tire setup front and rear with these tires and wheels specifically in mind?

I was thinking either:
245/35/19 and 275/35/19
255/30/19 and 285/30/19
245/35/19 and 285/30/19

I am trying to avoid any rubbing and keep handling on par with stock.

Does going wider in the rear and sticking with stock front tire size throw off the balance of the car? Meaning if I change the ratio of staggering and went 245/35/19 front and 285/30/19 in the rear would the handling be compromised?

The E9X M3 is quite oversteer-friendly. So putting wider wheels with more grip in the rear is not a bad thing.

I'll shoot you a PM with some fitment information.

I really like the Balance of the stock setup and generally recommend going with a 255/35/19 and 275/35/19. However, the Advan AD08 is a very large tire. The 245/265 setup will give you a tire that is as big or bigger than many other 255/275 tire setups. With the AD08 wtick with 245/265 to avoid any rubbing.

Thanks Frank, so you dont think with the AD08's its worth going 275/35 for the rears and leaving the front at 245/35?

You could do that if you want some extra tire out back, but like I said I really like the balance the car has from the factory and I don't like disrupting that by giving the rear more traction (more prone to understeer). However, we do have many clients that choose to go with a wider rear tire and are happy with the decision.

If you're really concerned about getting understeer, then I would suggest going with a much beefier set up. Go with a V710 19x9.5" ET22 up front on a 265/30-19 and the rears go with the same wheel, and the same tire, or go with a 285/30-19 if you like but that induces more understeer because the rears are a tad larger. I know this set up works, so you wont have any issues.

The E9x M3 is actually has a good amount of understeer if driven around the track properly. If you take it to the track and mash your foot down all the time, sure, it can be an Oversteer-Friendly vehicle, but obviously smashing your foot down on the gas isn't what the track is for.

If this is for a daily driving set up, then I wouldn't worry about balance, you wont feel any difference besides the upgrade in the tires and more feel through the steering wheel because of the wider tires.

BUT, if you're taking these on the track, then PM me (well PM me regardless ), mainly because I have over 7 years of racing experience, and I'll set you up with a set of wheels/tires that will be perfect for what you need to get done.
