few new m3 coupe pics - manual shifter/transmission is shown + M-power buttons

Good to see the manual transmission

Center console has 3 buttons which should be DSC, EDC and Power buttons.

Thanks southlight

I don`t like the outside mirror and rims, they are soft lined. Maybe the 19"are some more like it.

NICE pictures! A few things, can't really make out the "M Power Button" but from all the other threads here it sounds as though its going to happen.
Also notice that there are 3 small buttons (Is one of these the M Power Button ) on the left side of the center console just passed the shifter, as well as the different iDrive controler. The outside mirrors look to have been finalized as well.

Holy Crap! Those side mirrors alone are an absolute deal-breaker for me.

Yikes! They are downright ugly!

BMW has made a HUGE mistake there in my opinion.

If I wanted side mirrors like that I'd buy an MB!

It's amazing how one single design error can completely change the alure of an otherwise decent looking vehicle.

Why would they do that?

Oh well, I'm not looking to get the Coupe anyway.

I just pray the M3 Sedan will retain the looks of the E90, and not screw up a good thing.

I think those mirrors are still disguised versions to hide the real mirror base design

Thanks for the pics!

Yes, the downside off the mirror has a strange curve IMHO, making it pointy. Just give me the outside mirrors of the E46 M3. They are awesome, some things you can not/ must not change, simply because it can`t get any better!!

Sometimes you must, for example due to EU regulations. Don't know if that's the case here.

Best regards, south

I think that's what Jason's post mentioned the buttons on the center console. Where's that power button on the M5 or M6?

I think it would be cool if they went back to the E36 M3 mirrors.

Also these are the first photos of a manual transmission M3 no??

Wake up folks

Those mirrors are either heavily camoflauged, super rough prototypes or both . DON'T PANIC, these are not uncovered production mirrors. There is some decent evidence of the mirrors going back to a split wing design ala E36 M3. Search around here and on germancarzone.com.
