looks great! u should wrap the shark fin n the 2 side trips on the roof as well.

btw the whole purpose of a cf roof is to save weight, if bmw had a sunroof + cf roof option it'd be an oxymoron.

WOW looks hot.

U should ask your installed to also put the 3M clear bra on top of the CF wrap to protect it against bird poop/scratches and it might actually make the CF more glossy like since the 3M bra also has clear coat on it.

I would love to see if it works and it might be my next project

I do understand it is an oxymoron to offer the CF roof with the moonroof but if BMW had offered this I would've checked that box. It looks great.

Looks good but I would agree that the shark fin and side rails need to be done as well.

Mixed feelings about this mod..the OEM CF roof looks better and serves its function..reduced weight

I dont think that BMW didnt want to do it..b/c engineering a CF roof w a sliding sunroof is not possible structurally

Why would bmw offer this (an option in your post). The point of the CF is for weight savings at the top of the car for handling dynamics. It happens to look cool too. However people would have a field day if they slapped a heavy sunroof in there.

Then if you just wrap around it-I don't know most people will know its fake CF and then it becomes something that IMO you really do not want to drive around with. Just too fake of a concept. Nobody would have a real CF roof with a sunroof-just looks silly

I think it looks good. You should wrap the shark fin and side rails of the roof in gloss black to finish off the OEM look

Its simply for looks. I think it looks great. They did a good job on it. its not for everyone... if it was everyone would be driving identical cars. By the way I see 458s that are vinyl wrapped and I am sure they STILL want to be seen driving the car. Nothing cheap about it at all... it makes it unique.

Looks great! I agree that you should black out fin and rails. Dont even try to wrap that fin PITA and won't turn out perfect. Buy a can of black plastidip and paint it, it will turn out great and is fully reversible.

Get a black shark fin. I would be interested to see how this holds up.

Did this on my x 6M

Paint rails and fin in gloss black will look better

In fact just painting the roof gloss black is a better finish and actually looks closer an OEM intended finish

Looks great. I kind of like the shark fin in white. I have the CF roof and now I'm wondering how it would look if I painted my fin Lemans Blue.

I believe there was an actual e90 with a real cf roof that still retained the sunroof on this forum somewhere. So in a sense its not really an oxymoron as it does in fact shed some weight.
