There have been multiple people on here more knowledgeable than you that have echoed what I am saying. But whatever, I don't want to have a conversation with you anyway.
typically wrong and wishes to not have a futher conversation after saying someting so definitive as "turbos don't work on this car".. makes senset; and that's fine but you don't know who I am(?) so you're just a sheep qouting "others more knowledgeable" and your blanket statement that these cars don't like turbos is totally false and misleading that's all. A turbo is a viable alternative and as said prior, we will be seeing other options for the s65 soon

Show me where I said "turbos won't work on this car"?!? I said they are not well suited. Big difference. I read your posts, I can tell how knowledgeable you are (or aren't) based on that. Saying that people smarter than you, agree with me, doesn't make me a sheep.

ok

p.s. yes it does make you a sheep to just reiterate words from others that you feel "are smarter than me" and have not been backed up by any info/real world testing. How many SC guys (esp manufacturers) are gonna say turbos are not well suited?? lol, trust me they are

When did I say that I was just regurgitating what others have said? I said they would agree with what I am saying. I am not referring to any SC manufacturers.

And no I will not just trust you. You go around rudely telling people that they are wrong in a condescending tone and offer little to no evidence of why that's the case other than "you know best". If you seemed like a good, knowledgeable guy and you spoke like one, I would trust you. But you don't, so I don't.

PS. If you want name calling, how about this: If I am a sheep, you are a troll. You go around looking for any little thing to make an inflammatory, condescending post about to start a conflict.

I agree with you and totally understood what you were saying. FWIW I'd never add Turbo's to this car, for a few reasons, not to mention it's difficult enough putting the power down with a SC lol, and you're asking for a SLEW of problems along the way if you go that route. If you want big power, then go AWD otherwise it's almost pointless, last weekend at the event was a huge demonstration of that fact.

I dunno, everyone seems to be into the 1/2 and full mile events now that go from rolling starts and IMO at least this is def. a disadvantage to AWD once the car is moving upstairs. From a dig, 1/4 mile, stoplight to stoplight I think AWD is hard to beat. I was cutting 1.5 60 fts in a 300hp AWD car. Either way, you're car is moving, congrats!

With the kind of power that these cars were putting down, AWD was still a serious advantage. Even with AWD, one GT-R still went off because of traction issues. The TT Ford GTs were having trouble keeping up with cars with significantly less power due to wheel spin.

But yeah, once they hook up, AWD cars are just carrying extra weight and additional parasitic powertrain losses.

It was pretty cool and dusty so that was probably a big part of it. I think maybe next time it might be worth it to get a street sweeper out there to clean up the first 1/8 or 1/4.

I get what you're saying, but the GT-R has changed some of that conventional wisdom, lol, so far it hasn't been a disadvantage to an AWD car, every event we've had so far the overall winner is an AWD car, even if it has less power. AWD has an advantage in all aspects when it comes to big power, if you can't put the power down what's the point? Just about every RWD car had issues, and the big power RWD cars couldn't even use their high boost applications, but the cold weather didn't help in that regard either. Appreciate the props on my car, thank you!

We had it swept a few days before the event, just a dusty area, hard to keep it clean.

Oh wow, okay. I noticed that the dust roostertails died down towards the end of the day from all of the cars running but the dust was back the next day. Nothing you can do I guess.

I bet that Vette wasn't too happy. I've seen that car in person and it's no joke!

Thanks guys!

As for turbo's on the e9x's. The same exact conversations were going around when the e46 was an infant. There is no reason a turbo would not work well on the e9x's IMO
