This is a motor built for our stage 3 kit. This will now be the second stage 3 in Taiwan. Motor build consists of 9.5-1 lowered compression forged pistons, upgraded forged rods, sleeved block, upgraded oil pump and upgraded head studs. This motor is built for high boost applications up to 20+ lbs of boost.

However this specific costumer will be running our stage 3 on 15lbs of boost with our upgraded fuel system.

Not at all - depends on what the effective compression ratio is, fuel quality, injector sizing, and timing/cam advance.

As an example, my 7 series stock eurospec has a 10:1 compression ratio.

Dropping the compression to 8:1 and adding 11lbs of boost from the turbo, gives an effective compression ratio of 14:1.

If I hadn't dropped the compression ratio it would be running 17.5:1 Effective compression.

Compare this to an M3 which has 12:1 compression ratio. Now add a supercharger at 6PSI and the compression ratio is almost 17:1.

So in order for them to run 15PSI of boost, they would have to drop the compression ratio for sure (as with stock compression and 15 lbs the effective compression ratio would be 24:1, impossible without alternate fuel and some serious modifications).

I'm curious to see what's under the plastic

Actually if you read the specs on our motor build, there is nothing dangerous about it. It is actually still well under its limit.

We have been testing high boost levels for almost 2 years now on our development car. Daily driving, dyno after dyno and tracking the car. While doing this we have been monotoring EGRs, air/fuel mixtures, engine temp, knocking etc., to ensure what the stage 3 can actually handle safely. Our car is beyond 15lbs of boost and the only problem we have had so far was due to the stock head bolts. Our heads started lifting which we already knew was going to happen eventually when pushing boost. However, now we have customized head studs built to our specs for the S65 that are able hold well beyond 50lbs of boost, which we will prob not see anytime soon, but better safe than sorry

Can someone PM me info on this please, pricing etc. I'm not an expert on the SC scene, so just wondering is this a whole S65 engine w/upgrades or an attachment to the S65?

Thanks Raz and Sales.

The S65 tuning standard is constantly rising! I love it.

So many different supercharger options, people rebuilding motors, dropping compression, stroking. It's rather enjoyable to see the industry push boundaries on such a great platform of a car. Keep us posted on dyno and performance numbers!

Thanks and yes its pretty amazing what can be done to these cars, to any cars. I will, it might take awhile till this baby is in the car (shipping time, customs.. the whole nine 9 yards..) but I will keep everyone informed on the build!
