He owns 100 + cars (and drives them all) including some impressive and rare models and shares his passion through a website dedicated to motor sports.

Yeah - wannabe enthusiast? Give your head a shake

The guy is worth $1B. he can do, say and drive whatever he wants

Jay is the man. He actually said good things towards the end of the video. He basically stated that it is the perfect car in many respects because it blends performance, feel, and luxury.

I think he was dead on although I didn't like his color choice that much.

...it was a publicity stunt to promote M3... I wonder how much BMW paid him to do this video...

M3 has been very heavily promoted lately

I hate blanket statements like that, NOTHING. The video just very informative, in fact alot of the information was just plain wrong! I'll write/right the script for him.... "the hood which carries over and incorporates bmw's 'powerdome' from the last generation M3, some say is to aggressive but it is neccessary just to be able to accomidate the V8. The hood also has these 2 vents, one of which is actually functional. The hood is made of aluminum in order to reduce weight in the front of the vehicle and to achieve as close to 50/50 wieght distribution that BMW is famous for. The flared front fenders are made of a lightweight plastic for the same reason!"
I don't get it. Are you agreeing with Jay on this point? I believe he is trying to say that the parts he mentioned are functional and not just "for show." All the things you just said seem to support that. Heh. Just saying.

I have a lot of respect for Jay Leno for reasons you probably won't understand. But everyone has their opinion and I respect that. I suggest you do the same.

Garage List
He did a good job and got the point across overall. When you have bunch of cars like he does you are not going to know all the details like where the tool box is if it is a 2011 or 2010 etc etc....

The thing is it wasn't a serious car review. He was actually in the review for maybe 3 mins, driving the car.

It couldn't have been more of a laid back drive of the car.

This shit isn't MotorTrend or Road&Track.

And for the 3rd time, BMW's own marketing rep got the road car HP wrong in the video.

Jay pops up at local car shows pretty regularly and is always nice and willing to spend a lot of time talking cars with anyone.

As someone else mentioned he's not much of a BMW guy, nor a Ferrari guy. He's mostly into American cars and historic antiques like Deusenbergs. He's also got a large motorcycle collection.

As for the people ranting and raving about the tonight show stuff... seriously? You sound like a bunch of catty women.

Bummer. All that writing for nothing while most are asleep. Need to time it better.

Jay should have gotten a 135. His show would get higher ratings over the contraversy.
