No question the M3 (even the E93) will handle MUCH better than the ST..... I was only comparing straight line performance.

Wouldn't help. We have signs all over the left side of our highways in Texas stating that the left lane is for passing only. Problem is, half of the drivers in our state don't speak English, and the other half just don't care. My wife and I constantly joke that more often than not, the far right lane is clear, while the left lane is completely clogged.
+1

How about when the stop light turns green and they take forever to go and get up to the speed limit they kill me

Don't knock other peoples cars. More than once in my life I had total POS cars and it's all I could afford. Consider yourselves lucky you can drive such nice cars like BMWs and never knock someone else who can't afford them. That's the pinnacle of ignorance.

I would say the car is unimportant, the driver, usually a young male, is the deciding factor.

Wait, what is this thread about again? How come all of a sudden we started steping on other people's cars and comparing whether the Focus is better than an M3. There are no annoying cars just annoying drivers. The answer is better driver's ed.

Great responses guys! To Wads' credit, the European market does enjoy a much sportier Ford Focus than we have in the USA.

I've got a new one:

It's Interstate Carpet-Hauling Pickup Truck Man!

Interstate Carpet-Hauling Pickup Truck Man drives on the highway with at least eight rolls of carpet... sometimes not even strapped down in the bed, but just strapped onto his roof instead. Interstate Carpet-Hauling Pickup Truck Man likes to sit in the fast lane. He drives 10mph over the limit, but this worries you as we weaves in and out of traffic in front of you. Interstate Carpet-Hauling Pickup Truck Man's truck is usually WAY too small for all that carpet he's hauling, but why should he care? No need to let me by, Interstate Carpet-Hauling Pickup Truck Man, I'll be just fine when three hundred pounds of carpet come crashing through my windshield.

I see someone like this every morning on my commute, but it's always a different dumbass in a different truck. Tried to snap a picture this morning... maybe next week!

It's definitely drivers, not cars. The worst drivers are pickup drivers and Volvo drivers. Especially, Volvo drivers with bumper stickers.

When they tailgate me I give them the ole windshield wash trick.

Windshield wash? Try oil slick or steel thumb tacs.

I can't find that on the M3 option list. Guess I'll have to talk to my CA about it. In the mean time I suppose I could carry around a monkey wrench to supplement the window washers.

Real Annoying Fooks of Genius

Bud Light Presents Real Annoying Fooks of Genius
(Real Fooks of Genius)

Today, we salute you, Mr. Really Annoying Ford Focus Driver.
(Mr. Really Annoying Ford Focus Driver)

You may only have 151 horses under your hood, but what you lack in power you make with attitude.
(Up yours Mr. Bimmer)

Your exit is in 20 feet? No problem for you as you swerve four lanes like nobody's business.
(Nurburgring in 9 minutes)

No matter how fast we go, it's not fast enough. In 3 seconds you're flooring it past us with determination and skill.
(Who's Mario Andretti?)

So crack open an ice cold Bud Light, oh going for distance and going for speed racer. We'd like to give you a trophy, but we just couldn't find one big enough.
(Mr. Really Annoying Ford Focus Driver)

...Don't know why but this thread made me do it. In my part of town, the really annoying drivers are the asian moms in Japanese minivans. Those red lights and stop signs aren't suggestions.

Then perhaps you should buy a Maybach or a Rolls Royce Phantom. You can spec them out with pepper spray, tear gas and flame throwers among a 20ft list of "active security measures" that you (presumably the dictator of a small third world country) can use against the peasants (or other annoying drivers). But there is only one catch, they cost about as much as your GDP.

Haha guys, wait until you drive in China, where every lane is a slow lane, the road shoulders are passing lanes. There are no traffic rules except to stop at stop lights, even that doesn't work at night.

The worst is when an over loaded truck tries to over take another over loaded truck... on a fucking bridge, blocking every thing behind and puffing out black smoke... You just wait behind, suck in all that soot, and hope they don't run out of torque and slide backwards.

Besides that, a piece of cement fell off a cement truck in front of me and hit the hood of my brand new, not even titled Jetta. Ran over a piece of lumber on the highway and screwed up a drive shaft bearing. And lot T boned by someone ran a stop sign at full speed... Yes the joy of driving in China.

the domestic produced cars (Honda, Toyota, VW...) are very reasonable, and there is a car called "QQ", which is basically a ripoff of the Chevy Aveo, can be bought for US$5000. But the imports and luxury cars are very expensive due to high taxes.

Dude, not knocking anyone, but when I had a cheap car that was "quick" I didn't go around saying it would beat out a 911 S, M3 or corvette........
