For those with black wheels...

Is it easier to notice when the black wheels are dirty? (like in the actual car pain), or they actually blend the brake dust better?

^i have blk rims, matte centers and gloss blk lips and they are very hard to keep clean. The gloss lips show the dust and you have to continually wipe them down, however like a blk car when the rims are clean they looks very very good

Black wheels don't show dirt as much, but only from a distance. Up close you can see a brownish film that's really ugly.

What he said. I have Time Attack CE28N and they don't look dirty until you're right up on them and then you see the brake dust.

Yep, gloss black is tough to keep clean for sure. If you're super anal you might consider another finish, perhaps matte or satin black.

^^^The TA CE28 are matte black and they still show. I am super anal about keeping my car clean, so a little P21 and a wash bucket and they're shiny.

Brake dust on black wheels will make it look like matte dookie.

Garage List
I have satin black wheels and when they are dirty it gives the wheels a matte look which isn't bad at all. See pic below. They're actually super filthy and look pretty good!
