+1 - fully agreed.

From my DCT perspective I would disagree and it's because Ilia at iND kindly installed a Transmission Temp Gauge in my console (see my garage photos). I have been amazed at how long the DCT takes to reach 160-180 degrees. The dashboard Oil Temp gauge usually has reached operating temp miles before the DCT Temp reaches normal operating temp.

Always warm my cars up to 1/2 way before ripping on them...

Well, except for Olga... my 1993 525i Touring. She likes to be slapped around when shes cold.

While on the topic of coldness... any precautions I should take when I get the "Outside temperature is +37 deg F" warning even after the car is fully warmed up?

This as well as once I start it up let it sit there till the revs start dipping (1-2min)
