We also have one with resonators, but backordered until first week of May - for anyone interested.

Thanks for your PMs!

So it may not pass the visual inspection, but will it set off any emissions readiness codes? Will
It pass the OBD scan?

aFe claims that with the 200 cell cats it won't set off a check engine light, but I have heard customers tell me that it has.

Seems to be hit and miss.

However, for California, regardless, they don't consider it smog legal.

Thanks

when i was at the AFE open house a few months back, i spoke with an engineer about their xpipe. their old version must have been the 200 cell, because he mentioned their newer version does not trip the check engine light. looking at their website, they say they use a 300 cell high flow cat....

Odd. Check here

http://afepower.com/afe-power-49-363...teel-race-pipe

This exhaust race pipe is constructed from TIG-welded, 2.5" mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel tubing. It uses dual, high flow, 200 cell catalytic converters for maximum flow providing an astonishing low end torque improvement

Where do you see it says 300 cell?

looks like the one i ordered through you has the resonators also has the 300 cell cats. maybe they figure people who want resonators want a tamer pipe and add the 300 cell cats.

Ah! They're sneaky... I didn't notice they had 300 cell cats on the resonated version. Thanks for sharing that.

Also interesting that the 300 cell version makes an extra 15 peak torque.
