Question WHAT SIZE TIRES FOR 19x9 ET20, 19x11 ET33?

Like the title states, what's the optimal tire sizes for the following setup for an E92 M3:

F 19x9 ET20
R 19X11 ET33

The car will be dropped on H&R sports. I obviously don't want rubbing, and don't want to roll the fenders either. Looking for the ideal street setup--with occasional track use. What do you guys recommend?

255/35/19 or 265/35/19 for the front wheels

295/30/19 for the rear wheels

You could go 305/30/19 (Pirelli) on the rear as an option, but you would be awful close to rubbing if you are lowered. (depending on how much negative camber you are running)

Agree on the rear tire size, but side wall is too short on the front 265/30/19.

That size will transmit a lot more road noise (NHV) to the interior cabin. I've used both on several cars and I've recommend it to several of my clients. They all love the taller sidewall of the 265/35 tire.

265/35/19 is almost a perfect match to the rolling diameter of the stock OEM 19" tires as well.

OEM is 245/35 so it's not the same side, actually 265/30 will be a lot close to 245/35 sidewall. 265/35 you'll probably rub on the liner inside. EAS car is running that size I gave you and looks sweet.

Yes I know it's not the same size, but a 265/30/19 creates a harsher ride due to 1/2" shorter sidewall. A 265/35/19 is a better fit for his wheels, and it wil provide him with a better more comfortable ride.

For the record it's 1/2" difference either way for the two different sidewalls, so they are actually an equal distance away from the stock OE tire size. (one slightly bigger one slightly smaller)

Besides the tires won't rub on the inner liner with the offsets he provided. (I already factored that in)

I wouldn't recommend the setup if I wasn't sure it would work.

I appreciate that you like EAS's setup, but they use a multitude of different tires sizes and brands to achieve the looks that you see in their online photos. Cheers.

tire sizes:

245/35/19 (stock) - 25.8 diameter
265/30/19 - 25.3
265/35/19 - 26.3
0.5 difference either way.

I rubbed with a 255/30/20 (26.1) diameter, less than yours 26.3. And with a 245/30 (25.8) no rubbing. That small difference makes a difference when you turn the wheels and it rubs on the liner. Believe me, I've been there...

And just for reference, somes pics from Brandon (EAS) with the Advan AD008 265/30 & 295/30.

It won't rub man...

Please post the all wheel sizes and offsets of the wheels you are sure will rub.

by the way where exactly is it suppossed to rub?

the 265/30 and the 265/35 have exactly the same section width...

It's not the width but the difference in diameter...

I had a 20x9 +15. It rubbed with a 255/30 (26.1) but no rubbing with 245/30 (25.8). The rubbing is only when turning full lock.

He might be okay depending on his offsets. Guess he needs to decide on his tire choice and try it out...

Then again if he uses a 265/35 on fronts he might better off with a 305/30 than a 295/30 due to a higher diameter.

265/30/19
305/30/19

I think these would look great. I have a 275/30 305/30 setup on 9.5" ET22 10.5" ET25 with no rubbing at all, so this should work with no rubbing. Your fronts are slightly more conservative.

Not worried about the front tires at all...

I was actually more worried to even reccommend the 305/30/19 tire at all...since that's what bites these guys running 11" wide rear wheels.

+33 is a pretty standard offset for an 11" modular wheel.

The OP didn't mention it, but I'm certain these are some modular wheels from a company like 360 Forged, DPE or HRE with those offsets.

I was working with a local guy who has those same exact rear wheel offset values and he was running DPE's.

He almost rubs and he is running 305/30/19 Pirelli PZero Rosso's.

Experience has taught me to be a little more conservative than others when selecting wheel/tire fitments. Pirelli is one of the narrowest 305/30/19 tires you can buy. That's why I recommended it in my earlier post.

Not all radial tire brands (within a given size category) will measure out to the same width unfortunately.

Some guys have found that out the hard way.

That small margin is difference between rubbing on the fender or liner and not rubbing at all. Cheers.

That is the exact same set up that I have for my F14 Wheels. I am using the Nitto Invo Front Tire for 245/35/19 and the Rear for 305/30/19

I'd go 245/35/19 front, 305/30/19 rear. If you feel there may be too much understeer go for 255/35/19 but you will rub lock to lock, at least mine does when locking it full left.

it really matters what tires you want to run

If your going to run advan ad08s, this is what id run:

245/35/19 (safe side, you can go MAX 255/35/19 dont go more then this)

Rear you shouldnt have a problem running 295/30/19 with your offset even if it is lowered
