Looking for Tach Signal Pickup for DynoJet
Hey guys... planning on Dynoing tomorrow... and wanted to know where to put the Tach Signal pick up on the M3? I can't see any Plug Wires... and wanted to know if any of you knew?
Thanks! Dave

I think my shop used the ignition coil wires.

Yeah, I just can't even see them? Do you have to pull off the black covers on top of the valve covers? or is there any wire exposed that I can attach to?
Thanks, Dave

I need to know how to remove those pesky black plastic covers too, so will be watching. Tried pulling them up but after some disturbing creaking, decided to wait for further instructions . Bump for you man.

Thanks Pencil Geek! That worked perfectly... I have the passenger side cover off now... and will drive her to the dyno tomorrow AM!
Thanks again! Dave

Removing the bolt that holds the coolant overflow bottle so you can move it out of the way will help you slide the black plastic piece off.

Thanks King Tut... wish I had seen this first!
All I ended up removing was the 'oil filler' cap.. and just took my time... tugging & sliding & pulling. All went well! Dave
