Vf 620 vs. Vf 540 supercharger dyno

Hey guys. Here is a Litle dyno sheet for those considering supercharging their car on a budget. This dyno shows two pulls. The green is for the Vf 540 kit with akra hfc exhaust and the red one is for the vf620 supercharger kit on the same car. My base dyno was 39 whp with aa xpipe with magnaflow exhaust, Drop in filter and the 240 e software.
Next on the list is to go catless as it seems to yield over. 20+ whp on shown dynos. After that Vf 650 kit.
I would like to get over 600whp without doing a low compression engine build. Time will tell.
Vf 620 -Green run; 558 whp 369 trq on 91 oct
Vf 540- Red run; 508 whp 335 trq on94 oct

Looks good man. I think the VF 540 and 620 need to be flip flopped from red and green though.

I think you might have confused the Red and Green line in your last statement

I had a ride in Chris' car today. Pulls like a freight train. The car can be scary at speeds.

Thanks Andy. Power is very addictive. Lets see of we can brake that 600 whp barrier.

Is this a misprint or does the 540 make more hp because using 94 octane? The red line is higher in the graph... I was just curious if the change in octane during the runs made this big of a difference.

adding meth will give you 10-20whp. If you dyno in cooler temps, you'll make more power. Make sure you are completely catless...

Damn, that's impressive, you broke the 500whp on 91oct with your VF540, curious to know what you would've done on 94!!

I'm dynoing my VT1-535 next week when I'll install my test pipes, I always run 94octane, hope to see 500 as well!

620 is at 6.7 and the 540 was about 5ish. Don't know the 540 boost was exactly as I got my gauge installed after the sc upgrade
Bimmersport can send you to Westport.

Akra evo has only primary hfc in secondary location. So just one set of hfc. Soon to be removed and 600 whp here I come.

Ya. A few. With the 540 Vf I ran e47 Stsge 2 aa. Ess 550 and pulled on those both. With the 620 I've raced Sti's m5 with full mods. And ess650

You raced ESS 550 with Complete OEM exhaust and all cats and you did pull on it. ESS 550 with stock exhaust made 471whp Here's is a dyno of ESS 550 Kit:
Green Line: ESS 550 with stock exhaust
Blue Line: ESS 550 with Dinan Catless Midpipe and OEM muffler
Red Line: ESS 550 with Akra Evo.

Lets not forget you also lost (3 times ) to a Completely stock E90 with 240e software through 2nd and 1/2 3rd gear pull but we can blame that on "no traction"

I didn't know there was an E47. Must be special order
