New (Refinished) Steering Wheel

Got a refinished steering wheel installed this weekend (along with my airbag recall). Strangely, the part that I liked the most about it is the leather wrapped center trim. Wish BMW could do this for "extended leather" option trims out the factory.

It's just a tad thicker than the OEM wheel, the nappa leather feels really nice to the touch, as does the perforated grips. Very well made, nothing to fault for as far as quality. Great option if the M Performance's alcantara isn't your thing or if you're just looking for a refinish.

I've noticed there are a number of eBay vendors from Eastern Europe selling these types of steering wheels. Tough to figure out which ones are good and which ones to stay away from. Yours looks almost exactly like what I would want, but I would keep the top part round. How much was it?

$645 to my door. I admit I had doubts, but a friend bought one and it looked fantastic as well.

Ledermanz is top notch stuff. I wouldn't ever hesitate to use their re-done wheels.

The shape isn't to my taste and doesn't exactly match the interior styling, but the workmanship and finish is definitely top-notch.

Seriously...

Nice job man. Also nice job with the F10 M5 shift knob. I've done that one as well too.

Hey Monkey, I like the extended tan leather. Can you throw up another pic showing more of the interior. Not a tan fan but I like it when it's extended like yours.

That looks really nice. Much better than an aftermarket one that would get rid of your on-wheel buttons.

Ledermanz does great stuff. Here's mine. It's bit more subtle than the OP's design.

That looks excellent. The red stripe matches the red interior perfectly, love it.

That looks excellent, probably the exact spec I would get. I'm not sure how I feel about flat bottom steering wheels though, I go back and forth on that.
