It doesnt come installed from factory, mine was in my trunk because I requested no front plate to be mounted. but YES, if you want your front plate mounted, it comes mounted on a body colored plate holder.

Pretty weird. Even your pic slammed doesnt look like dakar... And whats the deal, did every Canadian dealership get an dakar edition m3???

Im not sure if any have even come to the states yet? And definitely not sitting on dealerships floors.

This is my dealer,the BMW store, I just picked my Alpine White Edition yesterday. They still have 1 Dakar (as shown), 1 monte carlo blue, and 2 white Edition models left...If you are in other areas, you can ask your local dealer to get one transferred from them.

BTW, this Dakar one shown on the pic does not have Idrive, so probably cheaper, I forgot the price tag...
