Does my car have a factory alarm?

I recently picked up an 08 E92. The dealer was able to pull the original order specs and I don't see the factory alarm on there but when I lock the doors, the red light under the mirror flashes. Does this mean one of the previous owners added that alarm at some point or is it flash regardless or whether an alarm is installed (as decoy?). Any way to test this?

I tried leaving my windows down and opening the doors, but once the doors were locked, pulling on the interior door handle wouldn't open the door.

Look in the iDrve for settings for beeps/flashes. If the clown nose is blinking it's either coded that way, the alarm is actually fitted properly, or someone installed the ultrasonic sensor/alarm without coding.

Best way is to check for the options and test.

In my CCC system, I see the options to flash when locked or unlocked and same for audible when lock or unlock. I don't see a setting specifically for the alarm. Any other way to test or check?

I held down the trunk unlock for 3 seconds and sure enough the panic went off. I guess I do have the alarm. Is there supposed to be a setting option in the CCC for it? If so, I can't find it.
