Front wheel bearing bolt torque

i am installing my BBK right now. i also have the OEM GT4 backing plates. to install them, I had to remove the wheel bearing from the hub with the four large bolts that come in from the back side of the hub. what is the correct torque for re-installation of those bolts?

The TIS said 110 Nm but call for replacing the screws though. Good luck.

Thanks. Yes, I found 83 ft lbs straight off my bolt torque charts for that size and grade bolt. That is close to the 81 ft lbs you quote.

The deal about replacing those bolts is not necessary. They are not stretched like head bolts. Just use the correct tap and die to clean the residual thread locker off, then clean it up with brake cleaner, let it dry and then use fresh red lock tite. Replacing the bolts after 3400 miles is ridiculous.

Its not mileage..its the removal and re-torque process..why take a chance for some bolts..these are your brakes

first, these bolts are not attached to the brakes. these hold the wheel bearing assembly in the knuckle. removal and re-torque only requires a new bolt if you are stretching the bolt. you are confused only because you do not do a lot of heavy auto work.

I built this. IFS torched off. front axle out of a 1975 4x4 suburban on custom leaf springs. rear axle converted to a full floater with solid axle toyota 4x4 hubs. customized rear disk setup from a supra. custom crossover steering linkage. dual transfer cases. 4.88 gears and ARB lockers. it is sitting on 38.5x14.5-15 TSL SX tires for size reference. i can make my way around bolt removal and installation.
