Towels and MF -- to many choices!

I am at best a weekend detailer although I'm becoming quite obsessive with this car. Next book purchase is going to be Mike Phillips' Art of Detailing. While on the Autogeek site I was trying to figure out what else I needed and towels seem to be on the list.

I currently have 3 Cobra Deluxe Jr 600 towels and their waffle weave towel for the body. For the interior I have some Eurow, relatively cheap MF towels. Despite multiple washings, they still lint so they're getting demoted to the house.

A lot of the products I have recommend 100% Cotton towels. I've read plenty of opinions on various sites and it seems that cotton vs MF really does come down to opinion without one being significantly better than the other.

So Cobra Deluxe Jr's are a little too plush for interior work. And with only 3 of them I tend to dirty them up and have to wash them a lot. I need something else to replace the cheap ones and more stock for the body.

On Autogeek's website there must be a hundred choices. Can someone narrow this down for me and also suggest where to get good cotton towels? I tried searching but a search for towels returns a thousand hits, most of which were not germane.

I don't use any towels to dry. I suggest the Metro Master Blaster in conjunction with an RO/DI setup.

Or a leaf blower and great sealant will be much cheaper. If you want categories of towels I would say:
- drying
- glass
- quick detail spray/ buffing off wax
- all purpose (interior, rims, door jambs, etc)

Do you have the 8HP model? How long have you had it? Reliable?

Yep. Works awesome. The two speed feature is nice too. No leaf blower compares to this unit.

I should have been more specific. I use my leaf blower followed by the Cobra Guzzler to dry, works great.

If I see a spec of dust on the hood it will get Optimum No Rinse or Meguiar's M34 detail spray or both. Then it might get Optimum Car Wax or Zaino's Z8.

So I need either more MF or towels for the outside. Zaino specifically says 100% cotton (but that leaves a pretty wide variety). Also need some better, non-lint dumping MF cloths or towels for inside, engine bay, door jambs, etc. I had planned on using the cheaper Eurow MF for those duties but the lint has been a problem.

Is there a favorite I should pick up on Autogeek or should I just go to Bed Bath and Beyond and get some cotton towels. If the latter was a good option, I don't think the MF would have such a large market share.

Leaf blower for drying...Silk lined plush MF towels for detailing..Any will do..I prefer these

I use this for polishing and finishing..its the softest MF towel I have used to date

Anyone recommending 100% cotton should have their heads examined.. the lint is abrasive and will scratch the paint.

I have a smattering of towels from autogeek, but most of the MF I get from chemical guys. Pretty good price for the quality. I have some of the monsters, fluffer supremes and some the "yellow" ones, I forget which.

Can't recommend cotton towels, but they also have some "micro-cotton" towels on there.

For the most part, I just use costco mf for the interior and door jambs. Some linting, but goes away after washing
