Sell my M3 and get a Alfa Romeo 4C?

What do you guys think? Downgrading or upgrading?

So I?ve owned my E92 M3 for over a year now and have been contemplating the idea of trading it in and getting a 4C. After watching tons of reviews on the 4C it seems like a blast! My only concerns are: Will the car feel slower than my M? Will I miss the NA V8?

Reasons holding me back from from getting rid of my M3: Rod Bearings recently done. Suspension fully refreshed and upgraded (coilovers, bushings, camber plates, etc...). Fun around corners. Overall a very fun car to build, lots of aftermarket options. Still get complements on how attractive of a car it is. Reliable.

I?m just worried I?m gonna be one of the many people that get rid of their e92 m3?s and wish they never did!

It's a totally different car. You are going to need a daily if you go this route.

i've driven a 4C. super fun and agile. faster than you might think and great feedback through the wheel and chassis. but...it has many compromises you'll need to be sure you can live with. fairly poor fit and finish and interior quality, serious lack of amenities. rear visibility is a joke. v heavy steering at low speed. in the front, you sit so low that you're literally eye level with the rear bumper of every other car. no MT if that matters to you (although the auto/DCT/whatever is good). zero storage or practicality (the frunk doesn't even open!). and then there's that alpha reliability...

in the end i decided it's too much $$$ for a weekend toy.

First I thought you were talking about the Quadrifoglio and was going to reply 'only if you don't want to actually drive your car as it'll be in the shop all day', but the 4C is a regular vehicle

It looks really good and must be fun, but it uses a completely regular turbosh!t engine which I think will be a large let down coming from a E9X M.

It seems like a more poorly built Cayman style car to me

I'm in the same boat as you on this. I also think you'll get bored of it in comparison to the M3.

not sure how it drives, but a 4C in a color similar to MW drove by me this morning and it was absolutely gorgeous
