It's great. The ride quality is pretty much like stock. Haven't tried the Eibach's, but from what I read, the Tanabe setup seems to have a similar ride.

Very nice, what were the overall specs on drop and spring rates?

Excellent choice on the spacers!

According to Tanabe:

Front - 3.6kg (20mm drop) - Approx 202 lb/in (.80" drop)
Rear - 11.3kg (14mm drop) - Approx 633 lb/in (.55" drop)

I was a little worried about the spacers being too aggressive and rubbing. But they are working out great. Very happy with my choice.

Just wanted to thank Tanabe USA... The car looks great but more importantly the ride is awesome.

I have been hesitant about lowering my car because I didn't want to sacrifice ride quality and handling (like to take turns fast and didn't want rubbing or the suspension bottoming out to get in the way) just for looks. Plus with rough Los Angeles roads, I didn't want to be bouncing up and down all the time. From what I read on the forums, the Eibach's seemed to be my best bet. Then came along Tanabe... I decided to give it a try.

For my personal preferences, I'm very happy with the setup. The car rides pretty much like stock in EDC comfort mode and normal mode. Haven't tried sport mode yet. The only time I've felt a difference is at high speeds with really rough roads. To be fair even with the stock setup, the M3 felt a little bouncy on those roads. The Tanabe springs are just slightly bouncier on those roads, but nothing to complain about. I'd say about 98% of the time I don't feel a difference in ride quality compared to stock setup. And the small 2% doesn't have me feeling like I just came off a wooden roller coaster.

A couple of my friends rode in the back seat and said the ride was actually pretty good. They drive lowered cars themselves. I asked another friend who didn't know I had lowered the car, what he thought of the ride compared to the last time he was in it a month ago. He couldn't tell the difference.

In terms of handling... the car does have less body roll making turns and rounding about sharp high speed bends. However, I can't say that it's drastically better since the M3 already did both of those very well with the stock suspension. I feel I need to take the car on a canyon run or test out a few more scenarios and then perhaps I'll see a greater difference in handling.

Also wanted to thank EAS for helping me decide on spacer sizes. I wanted to go as aggressive as possible without having to worry about rubbing. Especially at high speeds around turns or bends.

Seems that most go with the 15f/12r setup with OEM 19's. The ones who did end up choosing 18f/15r; some said they were rubbing and some said they weren't.

With the Tanabe springs, and 18mm front/15mm rear spacers I haven't had any issues. I've even tried putting two guys in my back seat and drove over speed bumps and dips. Making hard u-turns. Taking corkscrew on-ramps FAST. Even on-ramps where the road is uneven and the car lifts a bit and compress back down. Still no rub.

Thanks. Yea when I found out the drop would be .8/.55 basically the same as Eibach, I was hoping the ride would be similar too.

Looks good. Just wondering why every company that is making springs makes the same amount of drop? Cause if the drop is the same, just pick the one that's cheapest and/or is painted the color you like.

Car does look good though.

LOL. I've probably seen you around too. I don't know if you've noticed but there seems to be a steady increase of e9x m3s in the area lately. A few SSIIs also.

Thanks. Probably because the spring makers don't want to sacrifice performance for looks.
