Does the Gintani one include HFC? That would make the price difference...

The gintani Xpipe has proven to get amazing amounts of power. Honestly if you have the gintani race, you should continue it with the gintani xpipe. Ive heard and seen the power gains in person.. such an amazing sound and feel to it, not to mention the craftsmanship of the xpipe is top notch.

Gintani FTW

I'm curious as well, and wonder how the Gintani X-Pipe with HFC would affect the Gintani Sport exhaust, in terms of sound!

anyone know?

if you already have the gintani then stick to the gintani xpipe. remember when a company fabricates a exhaust system, maximum gains are achieved with their own system. mixing and maxing exhaust systems may not get max hp, but im sure you would still make good hp with either xpipe

Hands down Gintani bro. The Gintani has power AND sound, plus it is top-notch quality like others have mentioned. I have a theory that Gintani's x-pipe makes about 10whp more than some of the others on the market. I'll be testing that theory in the next 3 weeks or so .

dyno numbers aside, do you (or anyone) know how the Gintani X-pipe with HFC in combination with the Gintani SPORT exhaust performs in terms of increased sound/decibel level?

Trying to figure out how much higher the dB noise floor is elevated with the addition of the X-pipe.

I'd pick the Gintani x-pipe over any xpipe on the market. Their design is unique and works. I've seen it for myself, it provided more torque across the board than my Riss Racing x-pipe (that still provided very good gains). It gave about 8lb ft across the whole midrange to the wheels on the dyno dynamics.

I'll ask the guys at Gintani for the dyno chart. Their design crosses the "X" at the earliest point possible after where the primary cats would be.

It also made my Gintani race exhaust sound more throaty and exotic over the Riss Racing which still crossed it earlier than the stock crossing point, but not as early as the Gintani.

Just to supply an argument against the Gintani fanboi crew of m3post. The Gintani is a waste of money. You are paying $2000 for some pipe and an X joint. Does the Gintani or the RPi make more power? I don't know, but the difference will be small if anything. Save the $1200 and buy the used RPi X pipe. I made great power with mine, and I had no issues with it.

I think your statement is fair in your own rights!

but its also fair to say that maybe you didn't do enough studying on the x-pipe dynos or whatever vids are out there to help support to huge power increase with the Gintani xpipe design.

Yes, buying a used RPi xpipe would save money do doubt but I guess that would be the same as buying a used Gintani xpipe? don't you agree??

or maybe the xpipe make great performance no one really wants to sell it?

again fair comment!

If you're looking to save money, definitely buy a used x-pipe. I have no doubts the RPi makes great power, and I'm sure there are some that will go with your reasoning, and some will go with the Gintani to each their own.
