Add 1qt of oil = sell car?

I nearly went Hulk Smash today when the stupid oil light lit up today. Had to add 1qt of oil. I can't possibly be doing this every 4,000km at $18/qt! Time to set this car on fire in front of the dealership .

I heard BMW switched up the + and - symbol. You are suppose to take a liter of oil out when the pops up...your car will run better!!

Doesn't seem all that bad really. That's like a ninth of the oil capacity lost over 2,500 miles. But when you realize that's 6 top offs between each 15,000 mile oil change, it's kinda aggressive.

What's next, you have to fill up the car when it runs out of gas....so instead you'll just sell it right? Hahaha

Totally normal for a M engine. A have a buddy who has an E39 M5 and has to put a quart in every other month. Doesn't bitch about it and would never sell his M5.

Hey, did you hear about all the shit going on in the Middle East?
