Enjoy the new car!

Man, amazing pictures and an awesome ride, I have seen them twice and the way you guys have put it together is brilliant. Its just like living the experience.

I have an almost exactly similar IB E90 ZCP in production with a completion date of 3/29 and cant wait for it to get here. I was a little,,,,, part of me still is !!!!! nervous about IB being more over purple but I feel a lot better after looking at your pictures. I was completely split between SG and IB and went with IB @ the last moment. I think IB enhances the aggressiveness / lines of the M a little more than SG, not to mention that every other BMW on the road is either Grey or Black.... IB stands out a bit,,, I guess in a good way. No offense to my SG brethren, its a beautiful color and was my first pick in the beginning but I decided to take a chance with IB.

Was it always IB for you or were you split as well between a few colors and how do you feel about it now after getting it. Would you have picked a different color if given a chance.

Glad you guys enjoyed it! Sorry the video was 24 minutes long! When I was youtubing 'BMW ED' or 'BMW Welt' I'd get 2 minutes clips and not a good sense of "I feel like I've been there before" kind of feeling so I was hoping you guys got that from my video!

Congrats on your M!!! I have been a fan of Interlagos blue for quite some time. I think I've been saying "Oh after my 335i I'm getting an Interlagos Blue M3" for about 2 years now. I loved the color but was a little apprehensive about my choice when I ordered it as I hadn't seen an IB M in quite some time. I probably saw the last IB M in September and i ordered in November so the exact color wasn't fresh in my mind.

After taking delivery and 'living' with it for 4 days while in Germany it was more awesome than I remembered. The fact that it looks almost black when its in the shade to looking bright blue in the direct sun shine and purpley blue most of the time its just an awesome color.

I am really keen on SSII as well. I think a SSII E90 is second awesome compared to my IB

BKMK5, great video. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I took a look through your pics and there doesn't seem to be much snow or "wintery" conditions. Do you think it's correct to assume winter tires are no longer needed?

Correct! I wasn't worried about winter tires as I watched Munich weather all winter and they had a pretty mild winter. It started out terrible but since late January it was mild.

Thanks for the compliments guys! It was truly a pleasure making! Expect a MUCH shorter video for my PCD in a couple weeks.

Once the cables are out it's easy. That part I've seen. It's the Trunk I have no clue where to start with.

lol idk if I have the patience or time to watch 24 minutes of a youtube video, but just from skipping around, I definitely got a better feeling of what ED is like than the pictures show!

Thanks!! and enjoy your M3 in good health. Good job keeping it under 5k RPM lol...im sure you can't wait to let her rip hahah

Thanks for posting that. It brought back memories of my first BMW - an E30 delivered at the old delivery centre. Like you I went to the Königsschlösser. But I went on to Austria, Italy and Switzerland. On day 2 I went to get some picnic supplies. My wife had kindly started the car. I did not get to set in the fun seat for another 500km! Mine was not an M and took a bit too much air under it so I had to ease off at 195km (121 mph) and let the big boys pass.

WOW
My hair stood up for 10seconds when you started her up for the first time. This is the best ED post I have come across. You really put us there in a way photos can't portray. Its renewed my desire for an ED on my next car!

BKMK5 - Great video. I can't wait to pick up my 5er later this year at the Welt. If you don't mind me asking, could you PM me, or reply with, the make/model of the video camera you used to make this video. It's super crisp and captured the audio very well as compared to my HD flip. I'm looking to upgrade my video camera before my trip to Europe to have a great video for my family to watch when me and my wife return to the states.

A fellow Nikon guy (D700 14-24mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4 - All going with me to Europe). Now to fix the video camera issue.

Thanks!
