Question Which is better Jack & Stands or RaceRamps

Greetings,

Are using Race Ramps a better choice than using jack and stands ?

Seems like the race ramps are perhaps safer and easier to use

I was thinking the RR-XT-2 model - click on link below that shows the one I'm cosnidering.

Like Mrae says, you can't change tires, brake pads on race ramps, you'll need a combination of both depending on what service you will be performing. I have both ramps and jack stands.

I always prefer ramps if they are feasible for what I need to do to the car. I actually use four ramps to get both the front and rear up in the air.

Depending on the job I'll use ramps AND jack stands.

I used both, ramps to get the front of the car up, and a jack and stands for the rear. If I was doing tires/brakes I'd jack the front off the ramps and put stands. I don't like jacking one side and then the other, and I couldn't reach the front center jack point with my jack without ramps. The ramps I had were a little low to work under the car - fine for oil changes, but I had to jack it higher and use stands to get it high enough to do things like change transmission fluid. Even on stands I usually positioned ramps as a backup safety device. I finally bought a small lift (Ranger Quickjack) and regret not buying it sooner.
