Detailed GT4 lip photos @ IND
We recently had the chance to install a BMW OEM GT4 lip here at IND. I can't post install photos yet since the new Portfolio build is under wraps at the moment. Fitment is perfect and we will have installed photos up soon. If this lip was not $4k + it would be the best on the M3 market.

It's going to be extremely hard to make a good replica of the GT4 lip. The lip is very complex and rigid. Good luck to the replica guys.

Looks much better with the clear coat treatment from IND. Out of the box, it was a bit rough. Great true racing part though. Having seen it in person, it is a VERY complex part to make, and make well. If someone from taiwan etc trys to knock it off, itll be a POS for sure... haha.

I would rather have done the development and design myself. We DO have some motorsports components and a front splitter in development though |

I also heard that BMW is going to take legal action against any company that attempts to make a copy of it.

The cooling ducts on the lip itself will pass through the OE felt undertray, and you'll route brake duct tubing to a race brake backing plate from there.

That would be a good thing...but as Challenge said we probably won't even see any good replicated piece even if they tried.

Backing plates will be made by Fall-line motorsports. We will be using the same kit that they run on the Grand-AM cars.
