F80 fail. Sounds just like an 335i with upgraded exhaust. Weaksauce.

I think the F80 M3 sounds awesome! E90 does have a gorgeous soundtrack though!

Careful. Decrying the way that BMW cars sound is a sure way to get your comments deleted nowadays

The E90 M3 sounded best and was the most urgent by far

I think BMW is still testing different setups for the F8x but I agree work on that exhaust note

Yes, the C63 does sound good from the outside, but when you drive one its very quiet inside aside from the interior rattles

And I hope they make the F8x M3 sound like a 335is but taken to a more hardcore level

E9X S65 V8 is the best sounding and will remain the best sounding engine BMW will ever make. I do think they're making a push to have the F8X engine VERY loud to compensate for the cylinder downgrade, perhaps it'll end up being a louder stock car than the E9X.

Cylinder downgrade has nothing to do whit sound, inline six sound like V12 if it revs 8-9000rpm like Ferrari V8, better than any no flatplane V8.

Who let the F80 lawnmower participate? I'm tired of people saying it sounds awesome. Delusional.

On the flip side, I know the folks at HQ are working 24/7 to make the final product sound good. Some poor guys heads will roll if it ends up sounding like this at rollout. And of course all the aftermarket guys are drooling at the opportunity tune up the sound department.

I also join the crowds hoping there isn't electronic sound enhancement piped into the cabin.

CRT, muy bueno, as expected.

Then maybe it sounds better inside than out. I'm not feeling this new M sound. I'm used to the E90 M3 which truly sounds like it means business.
