First service coming...
First of all i'm new the BMW world and new here also. You could spend all day here searching for numerous things, and get a little confused at the same time.
So hopefully i'm in the right area. Four months ago i bought my 2009 M3 stc, with 100K on it. It's about due for an service. I could do it myself, but thought i'll bring in to the local dealer and let them see what is required for the service. Any advice on what might be due or recommendations that should be done? (car came without a owners manual) Just a few side notes, Car has after market exhaust It'll vibrate the wax out of your years.. Is there a way to see if there was a tune done? Bought the car from a lot BTW From getting out of 1994 mustang GT for twenty years and into this beauty,What a blast to drive. Pro's about my new ride, Love the steering wheel, Nice firm grip Feels like it rides on rails Engine breaking... Barley touch the brakes Good mid range power Shifting into tight corners without your hands leaving the wheel Braking Con's Wipers |

Get ready to be hit with the M stealership $$. I would either do it myself or find a reputable indy shop. If you're cali there's a lot.
I would flush all the fluids for starters. Change all the filters. See how many MM is left on your rotors. |

A trip to a dealer to get your key fob read may not be a bad idea . Costs nothing and they can pull quite a bit of service history from wherever n whenever the car was serviced at any Bmw dealership . Significant gaps may indicate that maintenance may have been performed by Indy shops .. which is not necessarily bad as long as the work was done right.
A key fob read may also tell you what CBS (condition based service) items are due . Regarding tune .. hopefully other tuners on here can point you how to find that out if urs is running a tune. Also recommend seeking out mike benvo on this forum. He has helped a lot of people on here regarding these basics based on your cars VIN Hopefully this helps. Enjoy in good health. It?s a wonderful machine |

BMW loves to use a lot of plastic parts. They do not hold up to heat very well and they become very brittle by 100k miles. Look for plastic hoses, water pump, tstat, expansion tank, pulleys, bushings, motor mounts, etc...

Welcome OP and once again I get to give someone their first "appreciate". This would be the perfect time to throw a picture or two of your ride up here. Since you do not have a manual, I'm uploading two for you. One is a shortened version the other is a full version.
