Oh how I love the cold startup sounds of this machine! It's such sweet sweet music to my ears.
I hear the sound gets "better" when it's even colder outside. I haven't yet had my M3 through the winter, so I am excited. |

Did you all notice, that when the engine is cold and you drive directly on country roads and accelerate from city limits to a higher speed (for Germany there is a 100 km/h limit for such roads), there is so a nice "V8-banging" (sorry don't found another word) from the engine between 3000 and 4000 rpm? It is only in the first 3-5 minutes of driving after cold start. When the engine get's warmer it dissapears...

My car fluffs and pops around for a while on cold starts, and when I say "cold" it isn't really that cold over here yet, but it reminds me of a race car, with no over fuelling on start-up.
