A little help: Battery died, boosted now...

Car started, I now have a check engine light and car is idling like crap. What do you guys recommend?
It's a 2011 DCT with ESS software.

Check for codes and also the battery and replace if necessary?

Pretty much this. Also make sure the new battery is registered. A dealer can do it, or a shop with an Autologic type device, or if you have or know someone who has a coding cable, BMWLogger can do it for free.

dropping the car off at the dealer early tomorrow am, Battery should be covered under warranty...hoping atleast. Full warranty ends March 2015
