New AM Vantage GT....

Any thoughts? Looks to be a nice package at a nice price. Just went to #1 on my list for my M3 replacement in 2016-17

Great looking car, naturally aspirated v8. What's not to like other than price.

Aston with "4.7 Liter" V8 Engine and with the same numbers(0-60) as with our S65 Engine !
The Aston should be doing better with 500 CC more and because it's an Aston !
And in 2016-17 there is just another Aston on the market ,but i need to say i alway's loved Aston's even the badge on it,stunning body design and how it sounds, and that is every Aston !

Does nothing for me, but that goes for all Astons.

Aston GT is marketing.

Although I die for this design and is one very rare "supercar" that provides 6MT, it's been here so long... and I never liked Aston's Fit and Finish (it's worse than how it is presented/seen in pictures), and their reliability.
There will be better cars in 2016~17 than this.

I'd choose it over a $130k Porsche 911S or a Jaguar F-type or an F80 M3. I love it.

Not really. They have packaged together some great features and design elements and dropped the price by over $20k. You can also get it in a "normal" paint scheme sans graphics. I love the fact that you can still get a NA V8 with a manual. To my eyes, the Vantage is the single hottest looking car on the planet, inside and out.

IMO it's the last push in a car that should have been replaced a few years back. But I'm probably the wrong person to ask since I'm not a fan of the brand anymore.

It's a nice car, but just feel the competition is much farther ahead.

...yup. Think the never-ending Frozen paint jobs and Special Edition (i.e. Lime Rock) on our e9X m3's.

Not the same. By packaging certain production items together including the more powerful engine with a manual gearbox, they can offer the car at price that is lower by $20k. I also see the design of the Vantage to be a slow evolution, much like the 911. No reason to drastically mess with such a good thing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Its a nice car for sure (save for the paint jobs IMHO), but perhaps the reduction in price - in addition to the packaging options - is due to a reduction in sales based on competition by more modern cars (style, technology, performance, etc) available. This leads back to the idea of pushing the current generation a bit further before being forced to change/update the design entirely. Just an thought...

For the record, I have NO sales numbers to back that up. Pure speculation.

I don't like that Aston is using AMG engines but if the new M4 isn't spectacular then this might be my next car. Astons are so gorgeous and that will be a head turner anywhere you go.

Beautiful car in my eyes. Aston Martin always has a very vintage feeling for me combined with modern technology.

By the way, I have yet to meet a woman who does not LOVE Aston Martin. Why is this relevant? Because several of us generally need some type of nod from the spouse when dropping 100k ...and for the single guys out there, women unfortunately cannot help but judge you when you are sporting a fancy car. You are probably pretty safe in an Aston Martin if you are the least bit worried about this

I just can't commit to British cars. When are they gonna make their own engine? Even Hyundai and Kia makes their own.

Lotus
McLaren
Aston Martin
Bentley
RollsRoyce

btw, it is awsome looking car.

Beautifull car, and a good option to a base 911!

Good point. In general, Aston's carry very little sports car stigma. It's not just women, by the way. BMW, Porsche, Vette drivers get stereotyped a lot while you just don't get that in the Aston.

And women do like the car - I'm pretty good at hiding my cars from dates until I get to know them a little bit but it is always interesting to see how much more they like my Aston than my Porsches or M3. It is night and day.
