Finally! Our E90 M3 is on the way...

Got word that our 10/25 built E90 M3 finally made it on a boat. This is BMW's 2nd try at making our car since the first one was built wrong.

congrats! what happens to m3's that are built wrong anyway? is it like a cake baked wrong that you get to eat anyway if you want to?

Probably goes to a dealer who wants the same spec car. My question is does anyone know the last E90 build date? My ED E90 was built 9/11 - I thought that production stopped in October. If so, the OPs car could be one of the last batch to roll off the line.

The dealer actually took delivery of the car since it was on the boat by the time the mistake was known and I'm not sure if another dealer would be interested since it was a BMW Individual order.

I think that same week my car was done there was an announcement about F30 production starting.

Same question here...what mistake was made? Dealers fault?

Wrong color! Which was solely the factory's fault... Fortunately BMW owned up to it and was able to slot in another build before production ended.

All said and done it'll be 5 months from ordering this car to delivery.

My E90 showed completion on 10/29. Definitely a question to ask when I take delivery next week.

Glad OP was able to get the right car now.
