09 E92 delivery.. TODAY!....
so my buddy that works in the back of the local BMW place texts me this morning.... my car is there... the first batch of 09s they got!!..
and maby the first 09 delivery on the forums?... in the states... The car actually came in on a boat where i live. (literally 5 miles from my house.)... but then was sent up the road to Greenville.. then right back down... so it didn't take long... i went by and chekd it out before it went through.... im going to pik it up in a couple hours.... cell pics....     Just in time to take it to Petit Lemans.... more pics coming soon.... i put the deposit down 9 months ago... then decided to wait for a 09.... soooooo........... after 9 months... FINALLY!! its so beautiful too.... |

Big congrats! 9 months must of been forever, esp with your deposit already down.
When you post your pics, could you also post a quick review addressing some of the issues with the US version of the new idrive. internet? play a dvd movie when it park? etc.

Have you picked it up yet? How do you like the new iDrive?
Make sure to check if you can play a DVD! This will seal whether I go and order an 09 or stick with an 08. |

woah..... what a long day....
getting word this morning at 8am that my car is there... till finally driving it off the lot at 6pm.. and running by to show some buds.. then immediately hitting south carolina back roads in the boonies for 150 miles.... figured the back roads would be better for brake in... didnt want the rings to set at a certain rpm for the first 2 hours of the motors life.... so was up and down from 1k to 5k alot..... so i go the car at 6pm and had 300 miles.. 1/4th the brake in by 11pm the same day... ide say im making good time in that department.... ATL is out of gas so i started looking for 93 70 miles away from the city... well a couple exits and over 10 stations later.. i found 93oct..... at a very lonely gas station....   and heres a pic just playing around with the cam after i figured out the Idrive and everything else. and got a lil bord...  now to answer some questions... on the new Idrive i did not see a internet option... or a google maps option.. but i havent had time to play with it while the car was sitting still.. maby new menus pop up? i did see a DVD option on one of the screens.. but i have brain overload right now... so i dont have any details.. and haven't tried it yet... Joe. not ride.. just hanging... Irb... the combo is perfect imo... and was exactly what i specd it out as 9 months ago.... there wasn't another option for me... white red 18s.... like u said... ftmfw... i didnt finance it.. so i dont know about the rates.. the new Idrive is great... i think in a couple weeks i will be able to navigate it so fast and easy.. without thinking.. just natural... i used to get so frustrated with the old Idrive in other peoples cars.... and just to let u guys know... this car will be modded...
