Roll Call: HPDE at NJ Motorsports Park with the Audi Club, Oct 24 & 25

I signed up with the Audi Club for the HPDE the last weekend of Oct with the Audi club. They are in need of students so they dropped the price to $395 for the two days. I've never run with anyone but the BMWCCA, so this will be my first school with someone else.

The registration is on motorsportsreg.com.

BTW, the NJ BMWCCA is running a one day school on Monday, Oct 26. So I'm going to make it a three day weekend.

skierman - did they make you join the Audi Club. I have attempted to sign up with them at VIR, and they require one to sign up for their club membership, stating it is in the National Audi Club bylaws. As a result, I have never run with them, nor will I as long as it requires their club membership. Just wondering.

That's an interesting story. I did sign up to join their club, however the next day I learn that they have waived the requirement to be an Audi club member if you are a BMWCCA member, but I think that's for this event only. They are having trouble filling up the school, so they dropped the price a bit and waived the membership requirement.

I emailed the Audi club and told them the story and they are going to refund my membership money.

BTW, I believe the BMWCCA events require membership as well.

Good for you. It got my dander up as I run with all kinds of clubs, none of which require membership, so I decided the Audi people did not need me, and vice versa. Audi cannot hold a candle to BMW on the track. And you may be correct about BMWCCA, but I belong, so never even considered the matter.

Yes, Fern Green with Magma. It has some rough spots, a few dents and a front spoiler that needs some TLC. It's completely stock except a Alpine stereo.

It's strong runner, needs a SSK badly though.

I'm going to slowly upgrade stuff. Next year I might just run it stock except brake pads and tires. Perhaps some brake ducts.

Doesn't everyone need two M3s?
