Agreed. Not necessary and over the top. M3 is one of the finest automobiles on earth and they just lowered its standing with enthusiasts by making it some sort of clique ride. I hope all the rich kids in NJ going to college are happy.

until we actually see the cars in person it'll be hard to tell for sure, but the current view is that it is required to fit the new v8 powerplant. If that's the only reason then it's good enough for me.

I think you are out of your f'ing mind on this one...There is nothing I would change about the new M3. I am considering taking the hit to get out of my lease on my e92 335i...I figure if I order an M3 I would get it around September..so that means I would have 25 months left on my lease...I gotta call BMWNA and run the numbers and see if it isn't too bad for me to get out.

If the hit is not too bad I think I might make the switch. Unless someone is interested in taking over my lease.

That hood looks awesome and makes the M3 look tough from a side view. I think without it the car wouldnt look as good. I don't understand how you can possibly think the car is ugly, it is one of the best if not the best looking M3 to date.

If you dont like BMW's rendition of the buldge, then buy Vorstiener's E92 hood when its released and use it on your m3. The new e92 vorstiener hood will be similar to the E90 hood, complete with a power dome and CF vents

Perhaps the bulge only appeals to those who are missing it elsewhere.

The M3 is suppose to look tough, the hood helps make it achieve that look..

I sort of agree...

IMO, the hood on e92 M3 looks a little over-done. But the car is a beast and I'm hoping M3 sedan is available when my lease is up on my 335i in 11/08.

But, the hood and mirrors look gimmicky..I cant help but think "Hundai Tiburon" when I look at it...just my 2cents.

At first I didnt like the bulge but if you were to imagine the car without it, it'd look just like a 335 coupe. It just wouldnt look M3 like. The bulge makes it look better IMO>

maybe instead of a bulge, they should do vents? I think the vents would look sick (well get a Vorsteiner and you'd get the same stuff, bulge + vent).

When did expressing your opinion and no body agreeing to it become a sin here?
Most people don't express it twenty times in the same thread.
