Meet my new 2009 M3 Sedan Jerez Black
Hello everyone. My first post. Let me say I've been stalking this forum for some time now and the knowledge I've gain from everyone here helped me tremendously.
Specs: • Carbon Trim • DCT • 19s • Premium Pkg • Tech Pkg (new iDrive) • Premium Sound • Heated seats • Moonroof • BMW Assist • 1 Yr Satellite Radio • M floor mats and winter mats Mods: • Clear bra • 35% tint (not dark enough but its MA law) • Picked up V1 Future Mods: • Bumperplugs (Forgot to tell CA no plates on front) ☹ • Exhaust (not sure what brand yet) • Black grille • Reflector removal • Recommendations? Well, here she is (pictures 1 - 5) my 2009 M3 Sedan Jerez Black. Paid $1,400 over invoice. Sorry for the quality of the iPhone pics. 6th picture: noticed the RPM limits you to 6500 during cold start up. After a few minutes, it slid down to 8500. 7th picture: Friendly reminder on the windshield. Yep, will obey. 8th picture: Will need these “free” rubber mats during the crappy weather. 9th picture: M parked at the mall…yep, out in the middle of nowhere. Had to walk quite a distance to get to mall….worth it to avoid dents. 10th picture: Gotta thank my lovely lady for her support and listening to my rant about this forum and the M. I think we’ll both have a great holiday season this year. I have 250 miles on the car and currently getting 16.6 MPG. I’ve been challenged twice already. Once by a wreckless driver in a 330ci. The guy pulled up next to me, then behind me, then next to me again before pulling off. He was in front of me the whole time switching lanes as I did. He did a quick offramp from the far left lane when he realized I was not interested. The second time I was challenged by a Jeep SRT8. I just let them blow by me and will not be tempted….but wait until 1500 miles : Premium sound is better than I thought it would be. You definitely have to go into settings and play with the tone/EQ to get it where you want it. But hell, how much music do you need while on the road? You can play 6 CDs, connect an iPod, and rip to the internal hard drive I love the new iDrive but it will take some getting use to. DCT: Yep, got the same issues as everyone else. I’ve been driving in D just to make sure I’m not tempted to run the car and I gotta tell you, it sucks when it stalls. I try to overcompensate but it just doesn’t feel right. I plan to call CA on Monday to address the software upgrade. I also noticed that even though I go from R to D, the car shifts immediate into S. It also shifts to S after pressing the M button. No big deal, just something to mention. Lastly, this car is a beast and I believe its evil I can’t tell you how many times I found myself at 85 entering the freeway….without putting forth any effort. OMG….I know I have court / jail time in my future Hopefully the V1 will be worth its weight in gold. See you on the road, Tim |

A beauty. I bought my '01 325Ci at Herb Chambers on Comm. Ave. Memories ;-)

Why did you pay over invoice? Everyone is giving discounts on the M's.

If he paid $1400 over invoice that means he paid under MSRP meaning he got a decent discount. Dealer has to make money too.

Same combo I have. You will love it.
First mod... get that dealer sticker off the back! I simply cannot believe dealers put crap like that on cars. So lame of them. Sweet ride though, congrats! |
