HELP - Best Place in MD to Buy E90 M3
Hello Folks -
I am new to this forum as of yesterday. I suppose it doesn't get anymore newb-ish than that. I have my eye on the new E90 M3. I read some posts about the manufacturing dilema come this October. That is fine, I am sure I can find an E90 meeting my specs. Anyways, I live just norther of Baltimore, in Westminster to be exact. I have been to Northwest and Towson BMW a few times. Being new to BMW, can anyone point me to a dealer they were happy with. Thoughts on what I can expect to pay for the following: 2011MY - E90 M/T 300 - Alpine White NCH2 - Fox Red Novillo Leather ZCP - Comp. Package ZPP - Pre. PAckage (2???) w/4MY (carbon int.) 465 - Split fold rear 494 - Heated Front Seats (ZTP(?) - Convenience Package (?) - BMW Apps (?) - Sat Radio Online it shows $67,550. Not sure what I can get it for.... Thoughts? Thanks!!! |

Seems like I have a few places. One person quoted me $600 over invoice plus tax/tags. Not bad at all! Now I just have to put my current car back to stock and either sell it privately, or trade her in.

you need to work with internet sales managers. They make money off volume. Walk-up guys in the dealerships make money off final sales price, they'll try to ream you any way they can.
Basically, you'll be ordering your car anyways. i would search the country to find the best deal, don't just stick with the local guys. The local guys will be able to give you a test drive and you can see the look and feel of certain options. |

i spoke to pretty much every local dealer (plus the two forum sponsors) prior to finding/making a deal on a car that was speced basically exactly how i'd order it on a dealer lot in deleware (ig burton)...of the local dealers, passport seemed to be the most aggressive on price -- they were at invoice plus a $99 processing fee -- so i'd recommend checking with them, but def don't go through the "internet manager" (annanmarie pistone -- she's a pure idiot)...pretty much every other dealer was between $400 - $600 over invoice, with varying breakdowns on how much of that was "profit" and how much was "processing"
a couple things to note...va dealers tend to have much higher processing fees -- generally $399 vs. $99 at most md dealers...also, if you're interested in bmw select, for some weird reason va dealers can't offer the promotional apr's, but md dealers can (regardless of where you're titling the car)...so back in april/may that would have meant 5.9% in va vs 2.9% in md (again, this only applies to the bmw select program, but if that's something you're considering, va dealers are pretty much out of the question)... your biggest problem on an e90 order at this point might be allocation...back in april/early may, every local dealer seemed to be working from the same allocation pool, which at that point i believe was 6 total (and i don't think every dealer has access to all 6)...i'm not sure where allocations stand now, but the clock is def ticking big time...good luck!

David Aviles of Northwest BMW is right in your backyard. You'd be hard pressed to find a better dealer. Many on this board would vouch for him.

Everyone - I appreciate the info. I will let you gusy know. Again, the hard part is finding time to put my current car back to stock (i.e. removing wheels, exhaust, lowering kit, and camber kit). I have all the OEM stuff, jsut need to find the time to take it to my shop, which they estimate will only be a day or so. Will let you guys know. Thanks again!

like i said, i was dealing with annamarie pistone primarily, but she was pretty much worthless...i did have a couple conversations with joe long though (the gm), so i'm assuming their offer was legit...that said, i'd bet they no longer have an allocation for an e90 m3 that's customizable...the one i was contemplating with them was a week 21 build, and i'd be surprised if they have any more...
