Blackstone Analysis Of S65 at 65k miles (using Liqui Moly)
Looks pretty good to me. I saw that some other guys had really high lead content. I'm the second owner of the car, bought it at 57k miles. Did my first oil change right at 60k with Liqui Moly 10W60 and MANN filter. Will test oil again in 7500 miles.

What's the benefit of a low lead count?

I'm by no means an expert, but I believe high lead count means bearing issues. Always a scary thought

I top off with this stuff and swear by it! Won't use anything but when a little low. Car has almost totally stopped consuming oil. Great stuff and is an approved oil in Europe as I understand.

If you want Molybdenum in your oil get Redline ...

Your analysis was what I was thinking of, I use their sae 30 and 20 in my racecar engines and it looks better on the reports than that liqui-moly, apples and oranges of course

I have been seeing lead levels of about 4 times what you have running Castrol for 7.5 to 8k miles. I think I am going to switch at the next change to see if that brings the bearing wear into check.
Regarding the moly, IIRC, I think moly is sort of an "old school" oil additive. As in it was a popular additive in the past. That may be where they got their name but have since moved on to new oil formulations.

$180 (and free shipping) Thanks, good to know. I'm going to stick to LM for a while.

Yeah, now that you mention it, it's ZDDP that I was thinking of.

If you watch their specials they sometimes give away free filters for each 5L jug of oil. I've been able to accumulate a stockpile of filters (2 filters free for a 10L oil change). Then oil changes are under $100
