She did tell me point blank..."he is not my type" And you know that really offended me...why is she marrying a guy who is not her type? I just find it...offensive? Since i hold marriage as sacred...kind of old school right? |

As much as it pains me to be a Shah apologist..
Shah doesn't understand why the girl is willing to settle with someone who is not her ideal type, thus proceeds to call her a slut etc. Anti-Shah's (good grief) are offended by his calling her out on her lack of morals. The truth is in between. A short story. Back in ancient China, during the Three Kingdoms Period (yes, many computers games made of it), Liu Bei was the 'good' (/moral) guy and Cao Cao was the bad guy, but why did Cao Cao win in the end? My take is because Liu Bei TOOK TOO DAMN LONG, literally, he ran out of time to unite the country using his 'moral' methods. The ruthless but pratical Cao Cao prevailed because his time table fitted that of heaven's, meaning the country needed to be united more than it needed to be moral. So can the same be same with marriage? I profess I am/was like Liu Bei, always wanting to do the moral or 'right' thing, but as you can see I am getting old and still single, depriving a very fortunately (or unfortunate) woman of the chance to marry and have a family. So we can't have too high standards, always insisting to do it the 'right' way.. because God and the woman won't wait. So thanks to Shah and Litos for highlighting both side of this very interesting debate, at least I have found answers here. |

but i agree, cao cao was a badass... and if he had 20 more years he would have probably won. liu bei was doomed to fail: couldn't pull the trigger on many key decisions and his sworn bros held him back. and, liu bei did have a shot: after his major surge he got greedy and at the same time was unable to control his greedy bros. it was all downhill after guan yu's fall. i'll even add that zhuge liang was the smartest, but too much of a playboy (which was conveniently swept under the rug as 3 kingdoms was written in the ming dynasty, ruled by the zhu clan). zhuge liang died with almost 100 recognized grandchildren! I just watched the TV series so that's all I know. It portrayed Zhuge liang as not suceeding because he was too careful, didn't make use of the element of surprise, and no one could live long enough to carry out his plans as he envisioned it. |

Well i don't know....I just hope all of you the best of health and that you never settle and you work hard to have not only the best thins in your life but also the best people and in the end the best partner/lover who you will love and respect as much as she loves and respects you.
*this in some odd way will offend a few fan boys and will use some passive aggressive posts to artificially increase their testicular mass. |
