You got? or your parents got you?

at 19 20 you would be spoiled..

your parents are just nuts or have ALOT of MONEY if this is really you FIRST car.

Take it easy and you will be ok but at that age it always gets the best of you.

Ummm, we need more people spending money. He needs to throw a fit and demand 6 M3's, so he can have one for every day of the week. Otherwise he is just a poser.

zymol products are amazing. I have used carbon and love it but creame would probably work beetter on silverstone, carbon is more for darker colors. You dont have to HD cleanse first like zymol says although it works better if you do. BTW check out detailingworld.co.uk and you might want to consider some of Jeffs Werkstatt's products as they make excellent sealents and are fast adn easy to apply.

+1, it doesnt matter if you have driven a formula 1 car, one years worth of driving experience does not mean you are experienced. The amount of cars driven does not account for years of driving on the road. Those years spent driving are where all of the experience comes from, not by driving a gallardo this one time at band camp

He bought it used. Used cars don't count into the GDP, which is what the economy is based off of. 6 NEW cars would help though.

I'm only 21 and consider myself an excellent driver. On my own cars alone if I was to add up all the mileage it would be in excess of 400k miles in about 4 years with a license and 500k+ in my lifetime. On this forum alone theirs gotta be at least hundreds of better drivers then me. My only advice to you is take it easy. I have been threw it before your fault or not a wall doesn't move my friend. A word to the wise like I tell all my friends. When it rains don't make quick maneuvers don't accelerate drive like your gma is in the passenger seat. I will leave you with this. The only way to get better is to keep driving and do so safely. Very nice gift I buy my own stuff but I would take this for a bday present if given it lol(even though I probably wouldn't I don't like to answer to people rather just buy it myself and do as I please with it)

ENJOY welcome to BMW

Not to make anyone under 21 pissed or something, but I read an article the other day about how the human brain at 16 is not developed enough to handle the process' of driving a car on todays freeways. In short the article says that at 16 the human brain still has a few more years of growth to be able to handle leanred behaviours that become automated functions.

^ SOOO true...i did a study on the brain and taught 'science for life' to 6th and 7th graders and it was unbelievable how much their brain had not developed to drive a car let alone many other things...youre brain does continue to grow until your 20s!

Do you really believe that? I could have driven when I was 8, it is not complex or too difficult for the brain to handle, the issue is the maturity in driving responsibly. There are kids in karts who can out drive most adults.

Why does every person under 21 here think they are a great driver? Anyone read the story of the kid on M5board who said he was a great driver? What happened? Ended up flying his dads M5 off a runway and killing 3 of his friends along with himself.

I was always under the assumption (and looking back, seems like truth) that its not that a 16 y/o cant go through the motions, but can't accurately assess and comprehend risk.

Congrats man! Sick car. I know what you mean about being fortunate and lucky at an early age. I'm sure you'll be safe.

I was fastest in my class at the 2 Day M School. Dunno if that makes me a good driver, but I was 18 at the time when I participated at the school, and there were plenty of track guys, including one guy who took his Z06 auto-X'ing plenty of times.

Basically, all I'm saying is don't generalize.
