All in a Day's Work: Racing a Ferrari .....

So last night, on my way home from school; I'm on our local expressway and this 575, or 550, It was definitely a Maranello, or could have possibly been a Scaglietti (sp?). My tint isn't legal so I couldnt recognize it 100%.

Anyway, I normally don't put my life or the life of others on the line in the street, and I almost always take it to the track, buttttt...what's a guys to do with a ferrari edging him on?

Long story short; the guy kept egging me on, revving his goddamn v12 and slowing down when I did, etc. So I finally just kept on going past my exit....

Everytime he 'raced' me, he would shift down and then run past me with no warning, he did this a couple of times, but he never fully left me. I would say that he took me probably 2 cars, but I was up on his tail all the way up to 140. He never pulled further than that.

He also never pulled fair -- always downshifting then just taking off without any warning...

Either way I would so take my $45k > $175+ car --- because for a v12 that shit was slow as hell..

I'm all stock except for AA-BOV.

yeah im sure a guy with a 550/575 would waste his gas and time trying to race a 335i

if anything he was probably just messing around with you.

im surprised no one has said anything about having a chance with a procede or v2 or something

First you cant even tell which car he has due to your non-legal tint. That is a problem. What is the need for you to have tint like that? To be cool? So you put yourself in a dangerous position and others for what reason?

Secondly this doesnt make sense. I could see him trying to do it against a coupe but a Sedan.

Either way failed thread.

pssh, 747s are slow . I was ALMOST neck and neck with an F-16 on takeoff, that is until he left the ground. Once I get my wing though, it'll be over........

You guys crack me up...next time I'll keep my digi cam in the car and video it.

Me bitter? Because I don't drive a ferrari? Haha....I'd rather have a Koeniggsegg that a ferrari anyday.

Get it right, I went from a k20 turbo to a stock m3 and now to my 335.

I made a thread about a ferrari 'provoking' me, its not like I shifted down to 2nd at 60mph and then ran through the gears just to get his attention.

Thanks for reaffirming that most of you guys are still egotistical ass shats.

Keep up the good work!

I'm 'rice' because I have a BOV on my car?

I'm guessing you would call smokey nagata and his $200k+ supra a ricer because he's got a bov?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

dude maybe he was just driving aggressive like most ferrari drivers would. Its hard to accept that he was toying with a crappy 335 (In his point of view of course) if I had a Ferrari a 335 would be that last thing I would toy with, and then the fact that you said you'd take your 335 over a slow ass v12 ferrari is just plain dumb or you must not know a lot about cars either way I lost respect for you..........not that I ever had some for you.

This forum sometimes sounds like those Honda Civic drivers droning on about how they can beat a BMW. Except in this case it's a few BMW drivers who talk about how they can beat every single car made on the planet. It's just not healthy...

Let's just enjoy our cars and stop saying how we beat X, Y or Z. It's getting old.

I couldn't agree more, no offense to the 335 owners I mean theres some great guys here with 335 that actually have something interesting to say, and are really down to earth, but then theres people on here like the op who just keep going on and on about "Oh shit my 335 just beat a F599" WE GET IT THE 335 IS FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
