Covering up scratches under front lip

I have some scratches underneath the front lip of my car and even though you can't see them when looking straight at the car, I know they are there and you can kinda see them if you bend down and look. I've touched up some of them but I was wondering if anyone has covered up the lower part of the front lip with like a carbon fiber wrap or some other material.

I think everyone has scratches underneath. I know I did too. You could get a front lip like I did...covers it up!

What lip is that? I'm considering doing a lip or splitters, obviously the benefit of the lip os covering up the scratches.

If you have a lot of issues with scratches before on your bumper, you'll have even more once you get a lip.

I agree, but the scratches were from the previous owner.

Mine too, I have a fairly steep driveway but with this lip I have not once had a problem. This is a ARKYM lip.

I have some scratches under the front lip too and was caused by me, I was about to punch myself when it first happened but it really isn't a big deal after a while. It's not visible at all from normal eye level.

Thanks to my driveway it looks like someone took a cheese grater to my front lip.

A friend details Ferraris and told me that most are absolutely pristine on every visible surface but tore up underneath.

The first scratch killed me. By the 30th I didn't care anymore.

I wonder if there is some industrial tape that can be used to protect the surface. My car is lowered and I hit all the time

What I did was add the furry side of Velcro with an adhesive back. It has worked great for me. I added it to the bottom side of the felt box as well. You can't even tell it's there.

Worth a try if you have OCD like me.

Super cheap on eBay 2" X 15' works great.

I'm certain that if us regulation on manual cars wasn't interfering with manufacturers who usually know better than retarded american govt legislation and followed what the rest of the world does, then you would not need to floor the clutch pedal to start ignition on manual cars in the usa. I also wouldn't have scraped a previous car bumper because of it. I hate it when legislation technocrats try to make a car "better" than the car manufacturer. Having to floor the clutch pedal to start a car is messing up a simple procedure by adding unnecessary complexity. If you parked with a gear in, then it's better to leave the driver put the trans in neutral than to invent some stupid shit requirement who won't save your ass anyway when you release the pedal. Take any man operated machine process, add unnecessary level of supposedly failsafe complexity and this will increase human error. This is like affirmative action, inventing rules that go against existing rules. Why doesn't us regulation do something more useful like teach new drivers to f@#@$% put their turn signals when they turn like the rest of the world does. Only in usa 90% of driver never bother to put turning signals.

How did you scrape the bumper of your car? If you have the clutch in and your foot on the brake, I don't see how it's legislation's fault.

I'll be the first to admit I have OCD, which is why I was asking the question. Clearly there are some people who pamper their cars while others beat them. Thanks for everyone's feedback, I may try the colored vinyl wrap or the velcro suggestion.

If you just want to fill in the areas where the paint is scraped, try Dr Color Chip and use the "smear" method (get the large size kit). On my LeMans blue M5 I had some scraps that were whitish looking -- looked horrible. I used DrCC smear method, two coats, and from more than 6-8" away from it, it looks factory new. It's a quick, inexpensive fix; not like a repaint but 1/50th the cost.

ive cracked 4 lips within 5 years of owning my car... so if you already have scratches id say just leave it... im OCD but when it comes to front lip it will scratch and vinyl or clear bra will not help and if you get it fix? it will scratch again so why bother. ..

I've got a whole bunch of scratches on the bumper, mostly from PO, but I'm also dropped so I'd really have to be crawling on the floor to see it. Not much you can do though.

Maybe pick up a lip. I'd rather scrape that than the bumper itself. I've got a Mode Carbon that's Plasti dipped black, so it's easy maintenance.

Honestly scratches are going to happen unless you don't drive the car. I have them and just polish them out as I get them.
